Eskom
Not supplying 220v to but 183v

For the last couple of years we have been in a struggle with Eskom! we have got a supply of 183v on a single phase line! now not even Eskom them selves know that in order for appliances to operate properly they need a supply of 220v. but if you only have a supply of 183v your watts get higher to compinsate which makes your usage double to what it would be if the supply was correct! the other negative part is that with the low voltage, the ammps are increased which causes wirering to heat up and circuit breakers to heat up! but this is apparently not eskom's problem, even if the house does burn down! their excuse is the same every time! "sir you are end of line, we can not install an additional transformer just for a single phase single user" " we can not increase the volts of the current transformer due to the other customers as they would be receiving 250v" now I have spoken to their complaints department, they did send technicians out to confirm the problem, and that the problem is from the supply. but pay your arrears, and we will see what we can do. now if they do fix the problem, then they would have to credit my account! so why must I pay for a service that i am not receiving
