Beware of Konika Minolta Gauteng double billing

We rented a photocopy machine from Konika Minolta Gauteng in 2008. We then had a fax kit installed in 2010, and a new contract was drawn up for R1, 134 p/m. This second contract clearly states that the rental was for the same photocopy machine and the new fax kit. The initial contract was now costing R740 p/m, and we were told the increased cost of R394 was for the fax kit. How misleading!
KMG continued to debit our account, and double bill us for the first contract. After numerous legal letters, they have refused to re-imburse us, claiming the second contract was for the fax kit only - so with escalation of 15%(!) we are now paying R2, 600 instead of R1, 500 for an inferior machine. After all that, and quite ironically, it doesn't even fax! After numeous calls to KMG to try and get a technician out, we gave up and used our old fax machine - 3 years later we are still waiting for a technician to come and deliver the service we have been paying for. Their after sales service is non-existant, the accounts people are rude, and the rep still calls to me to ask if I want to renew our contract! I will be renewing with Canon or HP instead.
