We took out a copy-fax machine contract for 5 years with canon. After the five years we renewed it, the person that did the contract still said we can cancel it at a stage if things are not going well as the business was in a bit of a strain then. one year after the second contract, we closed the doors, with a lot of debt and explained this to Canon. We told them they could take back the machine because we are not using it anymore, and cant afford it. They came to fetch the machine, and a few months later they told me to still pay. I said i can pay maximum of R300 per month even though they had the machine back. Its been more than 5 years that I have paid R300 a month, until a few months ago, i stopped. This after I have emailed them, numerous times, they said they will forward it to the company who deals with these contracts, but to no avail!
Now, they send the court to my pensioner mother''s house, wanting to load her furniture or she must pay up almost R10 000!!!
This after I have been paying and paying and paying for more than 5 years for something that they took back and resold long ago.
I want answers today please.
