My brother sent my sister a parcel from new zealand. The parcel contains underwear for personal use. Some make up and a second hand phone.
My brother wieghed it and paid accordingly to the weight. And paid insurance. Total costs of. NZf$ 59.75 .
My sister went to collect it and was told she had to pay R992 for it.
Absolutely daylight!
I phoned the post office (boksburg north) and to be told its not their problem but EMS. They gave me a number to phone 011 9616000. Which no one picks up. I went onto the ems site and saw other numbers 011 9616007/8/9/10/11
I have tried for over a week to get hold of someone - anyone!! But no one answes the phone.
I went to my local post office (westville - dbn) who bless their souls - also tried to help me. They gave me the phone number of customs durban (031) 3363333. And said I must phone them for jhb no.
That number also rang for a long time. And got cut off. I then phoned customer service 086011102 and was told its not their problem as they don't deal with international parcels. (How is that for customer service!!)
She gave me a number 0119616010 - the same number I have tried numerous
