My mother (TV Licence: 111660429) qualifies for a Concessionary Licence. We completed the required forms and faxed it, as well as the required documentation, to the fax number requested. This was in August 2013. Every time I checked the status of her account online and it had not yet been updated to reflect the concessionary rate, we faxed the form again. We did this FOUR times in total.
A month ago, I e-mailed your department and attached the documentation, querying the inaction. I received a reply from Zungisa Kubeka from your Audience Services Division on 30 January 2014, NOT answering my query BUT ATTACHING THE FORM THE WE HAD ALREADY COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED IN AUGUST 2013! I responded immediately, again attaching the completed documentation, requesting urgent feedback. I sent another follow up on 04 February 2014 and am STILL awaiting a response.
Last week, my mother received a letter from your department informing her that a penalty has been imposed and today received an e-mail from Frank Awuah, Operations Manager, with the same message.
This IS the last straw. I REFUSE that my mother be penalized for your department's IMCOMPETENCE. Please resolve URGENTLY.
