RE: OUTSTANDING BALANCE ON THE ACCOUNT

I have notified the SABC TV licence years ago that my property was attached by the Sheriff of the Court - including my television. I have faxed them everything at the time. I have lost my job and was forced to move to Leondale. The next time I owned a television was when I rented one from Teljoy and was told I don't need a Licence for the period of 3 years when the TV would be paid off. I have paid the tv off with Teljoy and when I enquired about taken out a new Licence I was stunned to found out my query was never attended to my the license department and the account just accumulated every month. I then spoke to Lindsey and she requested the fax again which I have done. I daughter later then phone and spoke to Lindsey again and confirmed that they received the fax and the matter is with their cancellations department and it should take between 4 & 5 weeks. Their time is up and the balance is not brought to a zero and closed in order for me to take out a new license. Instead the balance is just growing and growing every time a log into my account. I left them an online query in Dec 2013 which they still have not attended to. I want this matter finalised. Hettie Erasmus
