I bought a car from Wayne Van Reneen at 101 autohaus. The car broke down the same day that I bought it.
I was stuck on the onramp to the N2 in a very dodgy part of town. I called Wayne twice. He did not answer his phone. The entire car stank of petrol fumes. It was dangerous and frightening. A friend came and helped me. He said there was a problem with the fuel line.
The car is cutting out intermittently when I drive it. The cutting out problem started even before I got stuck on the onramp.
Also there is a jingling noise, which sounds like its coming from the wheels. Kind of like the sound a chain makes. Its very worrying. This car cost me R26 000 and I am afraid when I drive it.
I contacted Wayne Van Reneen but he started yelling at me on the phone and refuses to assist in any way.
I contacted the company but it seems that it is his company. I sent both Wayne Van Reneen and 101 autohaus emails requesting a refund.
These people fix cars for a living. They cannot plead ignorance about the condition of this car.
I've had the car for a week. It does not feel safe. I want them to give me my money back and to come and take their car.
