I recently bought a Nissan Hard body from Western Autohaus. This has possibly been the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life. The day after I took the vehicle I let them know that there that a funny sound was coming from the suspension. In the 2 and a half months since I bought the Bakkie it has literally started to fall to pieces. I have found that the bumper, fenders and grill have been stuck on with silicone, the gearbox is leaking, the entire suspension has given in, the spedo has stopped working (this might explain why the KM were so low), the hooter randomly goes off, the for lights have simply fallen out of place (I guess they ran out of silicone), there is faulty wiring and most of the parts to change tyres are missing. these are the faults that I am aware of.
The Bakkie has now broken down and it is going to cost over 11k just to make it drive again. The salesman even admitted to me afterwards that the Bakkie could not have been roadworthy when they sold it. They must be aware that there is happening with their roadworthy place. I am now taking legal action and arrangements have been made to have an interview with Carte Blanche at a later date.
