Do all panel beaters never stick to their word?

Repairs were authorised on the 21st Jan. I called in on the 24th to get a progress update as to when I can expect my vehicle. Charlotte informed me that the due date was the 3rd Feb. I informed her that I have a holiday planned for the weekend of the 1st & would appreciate having my car back by the 31st so that I could drive to the destination in my vehicle. I said the sooner I get it, the sooner I could depart. She promised to get back to me on the 27th with some feedback. After not hearing from her on Monday, I called again to find out the progress, to which she verbally confirmed that all is on track for the 31st Jan. I then received an sms on the 28th saying that my vehicle was now in the polish bay & that all is looking good for collection on the 31st. I called Charlotte once more on the 30th to double check that we are good for the 31st & see whether there was any chance it would be released earlier. Her response was that it wouldn't happen earlier & that she would call me early Friday morning to let me know when I can collect. Low & behold, I received a call at 9:30am saying that the car would no longer be ready today. I can no longer go away for the weekend as a result.
