This is the letter we sent them from our lawyers:
We act on behalf of Yiull Damaso, who instructs us as follows:
On 14 January 2012 he purchased a grand XL King size bed and base from you for a purchase price of R15 000, 00.
Upon receipt of the bed and base our client noted that the bed was defective in that there was a significant ridge where the foam had been joined. On notifying yourselves of the aforesaid defect, you agreed to replace the bed and conceded that the glue had been applied incorrectly and informed our client that you had fired the factory manager as a result of this.
The second bed that was delivered to our client had a join which was less pronounced, but which join started splitting approximately two months after delivery of the bed. Once again, your Ryan McCloud apologised for the defect and the second bed was replaced.
A third bed was delivered in accordance with the agreement during or September 2012.
Within three months of delivery of the third bed it was noted that this too was defective in that the join started splitting and that visible glue marks and tears in the foam could be noted.
