I bought a GWM Steed 2.5 diesel bakkie in 2011 and have had nothing but problems since then. The original tyres have lasted longer than any of the four engines that i have had in this vehicle which has only done 1030 00km's. I have dealt with a lot of the dealerships countrywide as i travel a lot for business, and without fail i have had problems and had to use those dealerships in various towns. In the 2 years that i have had this vehicle it's been off the road for at least four months excluding services! They don't keep you informed unless you bug them constantly, it is never cleaned properly, i still have oil in the load bed from this last engine that was installed, my registraton papers have also been misplaced by them. If you try and phone the dealership you battle to get hold of anyone to assist you, the mechanics don't fit things back properly, it really is pathetic. I broke down again last night 28.10.2013 and phoned them this morning, they said they will come back to me in 5 minutes I'm still waiting for their call nearly 2 hours later. Being on the road is my livelihood and they don't give a. I would lose business if i did business like this.
