I bought a new GWM steed 5 diesel bakkie in August 2011 and regret in ever since! After waiting NINE weeks for delivery it finally arrived with a faulty seatbelt light and a scratched canopy window. The nuts on the head was allready rusted!! The leather seats has torn twice and I'm taking the bakkie back for the seats to be fixed for a THIRD time. The Electric windows stop working on 340km, the door switch packed up on 1034km and the WHOLE engine was replaced at 16000km. The pipe leading to the turbo has burst making me stand at the side of the road for 2 hours!! The airbag warning light came up at 16400km and had to be fixed (faulty cable) Upon receiving my bakkie back the cd player didnt work anymore. The starter packed up a few kilometres down the road! I've been complaining about a humming noise coming from the diff the last three services but it has not been fixed. The driveshaft rubbers had to be replaced. My rear left taillight has water in and need to be replaced. The aircon condensor packed up and I'm already waiting THREE weeks for the part to arrive. Today the bakkie started making a humming noise every time you turn left! Whats next??? The service from GWM is even WORSE!
