In December 2011 I purchased a Ford Fiesta, brand new from the dealership. In the 18 months since then, I have endured endless car trouble. It has been in and out of the dealership for repairs/servicing, and still the problems continue. It began with a mere 3500km on the clock, when one day my car just refused to move. The engine started, I was able to select reverse and drive, but the car would not move. This has happened repeatedly over the months. The dealership "fixes" the problem, only for it to recur. I was on holiday in November for 2 weeks in which I did not use my car, on my return the battery was flat. This happened again this week after I was on holiday for just a week! With only 10500km on the clock, I do not expect such problems as a flat battery! I have written to Ford head office, and been in and out of the dealership numerous times, with no feedback or permanent solution. This is a great inconvenience to me, and with a car installment of R4200 per month I expect a car that functions properly!
