I purchased my brand new FORD Ranger end of October 2012! In March 2013 my bakkie went for it's second service at 28 000km and then the problems started. The bakkie kept showing power failure and water in the diesel. They replaced the high pressure pump and the diesel pump, took of the tank, washed it out and replaced it. My bakkie lasted 2 months then the same problem again. I had the bakkie towed to another dealership in Secunda this time. Again the high pressure pump and the diesel pumps were replaced, also they assured me it must be the water in the diesel they found again! They service manager told me point blank that the pump stations I fill the bakkie at, have water in their diesel and thats my whole problem. I have raised this with FORD SA but to no avail! They do not give any technical support to the dealership and take no responsibility! After receiving the bakkie back, I had it for 2 weeks, then everything started once again! My bakkie has been in for repairs for more than 8 months! I will NEVER buy FORD again!!! Dissapointed from Secunda.
