Terasat have a good thing going. They claim that installing the splitter for full functionality of the PVR P2 is too complex for people to do. Fine. They charge R500 and try to charge R620 for what is really just adding a splitter and 2 wires to my already functioning PVR P2.
Before their R500 "install" the sytem was working great just some menus didnt work in the HD channels and I could not record shows.
After the install I am lucky if the PVR works for 2 minutes.
I was assured it would work and everything would be good. Not at all.
I sent in an email to ask if they could help out, they called me back and refused to come and have a look or take responsibility. They claimed the PVR must be faulty, even though it worked fine before.
Furthermore the chap on the phone got upset when I pressed that I felt they were responsible and that I would be forced to go to the CPA and body corporate if they were not willing to accept some liability.
He got upset and aggressive, telling me to "get real" before hanging up on me.
Ridiculous, unprofessional and childish.
