I contacted TV Licences through their web site asking what the qualifications were to get a pensioner licence. I had a quick response from Dina who supplied the affidavit form to complete which since I qualified I completed and rushed off to the police station to a commissioner of oaths to validate my signature and ID copy, which I submitted by return email the following day.
Yesterday 8 Jan 2014 I received an SMS demanding payment at non-pensioners rate so I emailed SABC asking what progress has been made with my Pensioner's Application.
No response yet 17:00 9 Jan 2014. So what do I do. If I pay the demanded amount will I be repaid the difference? They are very quick to demand money but very slow to even respond to my application - not even an acknowledgment of receipt.
Please assist if you can.
