I am a senior citizen on a government old age pension. One year ago my grandson kindly bought me a Tv and a licence. Now the Tv licence is due and I have written and sent proof that I am a pensioner to the SABC All I want is the dispensation to allow me to pay the R74 for the licence, as I do not have the means to pay the full R250.
I have sent the SABC proof of my being a pensioner on 4 separate occasions. All I have had in response to this request is more letters of demand and threats of lawyers. I am more than happy to pay the licence fee as a pensioner, but no one is taking any notice and they keep piling up the penalties on the bill. Why can they not just accept that I am willing to pay and give me the necessary dispensation.
I am desperate and frustrated beyond belief. Please help me
Thanking you Heather Hillhouse.
