My daughter booked 2 picnic baskets and 2 kiddies baskets on the 27.12.13 for 2.00pm at abour 9.00am that morning, via their email address.
We arrived at the security gate and were told we could not proceed further, my daughter informed him that we had a booking, but he carried on, my son in law told him what he thought of him, we eventually were allowed to proceed. On arriving at the venue we were informed that we did not have a booking, the manager was called and he again informed us we did not have a booking, but we could wait for 20 minutes while our baskets were being prepared. We declined and walked away, he then came running with the order and informed us that he was having a bad day and wanted to walk out - is that our problem? We were not offered a free bottle of wine while we waited, or something to compensate for the service we were receiving. This is a overseas tourist venue, I hate to know what type of opinion they have if this is the service they receive.
Being in customer service myself, I find this type of service extremely upsetting. The venue is beautifully situated, but this type of service can either make or break a business.
