On 21 January I emailed City Press enquiring about subscribing to their newspaper. I receive a call
four days later from the call center. She gave me the pensioners rate and asked for my bank details (unfortunately I did not get her name). I advised that I did not give bank details over the phone but if
she would email me with the bank account I would proceed to deposit the amount into City Press' account.
I was told if I did this it would take THREE MONTHS before I received my paper. I told her I was not interested. Imagine if City Press did this to all their new subscribers how much extra money they would
be able to play around with between deposi and delivery. Beside that she did not mention the special
City Press was offering on line with a free subscription to one of the magazines I usually buy.
Not good City Press .. I often see you quoted by other national newspapers and thought you would be an interesting read
