I ordered flowers from Flora Niche (situated in Paarl) to be delivered to Wellington on 24/01/2013 (a mere 15 km away). The flowers were ordered and paid for online. Their website specifically stated NOT TO CALL THEM FOR SPECIAL DELIVERY TIMES. So I assumed it will be delivered the same day, as stated on the email notification received. It was not.
I phoned this morning to hear what was going on (the recipient of the flowers are attending the funeral this morning and will not be at home to receive the flowers). Apparently the order was sent in too late (not true), then it was the one excuse after the other. Now they will take it to the church (not wat was ordered), or to the house (no people there), and on and on. Eventually I asked for my money back (still hoping to see if it will be paid back today).
Then I receive an email (apology??) informing me that the reason the delivery was not made was due to a riot! This is a blatant lie! My family travel from Paarl to Wellington every day and are unaware of any riot that prevents traffic from Paarl to Wellington. They could have informed me yesterday about the non-delivery. This is just unacceptable!
