On the 04 June 2013, I parked in JHB CBD corner Loveday and Main Street and the parking Mashall: Mangaliso of Ace Parking Services informed me that I needed to pay upfront for the parking before I can park. I informed him that I dont have money with me but will pay him on my return as I have errands I need to do in town and will via the ATM to pay him (on my return), of which he answered "Shap"
On my return, I find a traffic fine of R200 and I asked him what that was all about, of which he answered that I didn't pay him upfront thats why I got a traffic fine from JMPD.
I kept on reminding him that I told specifically, that I would pay him on my return (for which he agreed), he got irritated and asked me to take it up with Ace Parking Services Management at their office, in Eloof Street, JHB. I met with his Supervising Manager, Peter who agreed to run and investigation. A day later Peter tells me that Mangaliso denies everything and I have to arite a statement at JMPD offices and me and Mangaliso will meet in court.. What gets to me is that my only witness to this saga is my mother (recently widowed) and I cant drag her into courts over R 200. I feel my rights we violated.
