I ordered some Avon cosmetics and because the sales rep does not have her own bank account, she instructed me to pay the amount due directly into Avon's bank using her rep number as a reference. She then repeatedly informed me that i had not made payment, only to discover that she'd given the incorrect rep number. I duly phoned Avon, explaining her error and was asked to mail proof of payment, which i did. I have had three mails from AVON's CALL CENTRE (Betty, Duduzi and Karabo) saying they need proof of payment. Unfortunately i have no patience with stupid people because logically if a customer sends through proof of the EFT it can be matched to the supplier's bank statement. I'm quite prepared to write-off the money paid than to suffer the ignorance of untrained, and clearly very lazy staff. Chantel.
