Hi,
I received a call on 11/11/2013 form Kenneth Marks claiming that I owe money on an outstanding FNB account. I am not aware of this particular debt. When asked how much it was, he stated that it was in the region of R32 000. Kenneth then said that he wasn't sure and he will re-calculate, and call me back in 5 minutes. I received another call a while later from Kenneth with a new figure. The figure was R 6773.55. I double checked this figure with him.
I then stated, again, that I'm not aware of this debt and that he needs to email me some documents, which he did. I received 2 documents. The balance I'm apparently owing in the document is R 13904.33, but in the body of the email he states I owe R 26 773.55?? So now I have been given 4 amounts:
R32 000, then R 6773.55, then R 13904.33 as per the document, and R 26 773.55 in the email body itself. What gives?? Are you guys taking chances here? Then you have the nerve to say in the email "The current balance on the account, valid for today only, is R 26, 773.55 "
Should this debt be valid, hypothetically, this debt is prescribed, (section 10 (1) of The Prescription Act 68 of 1969). Please close this immediately!
