I contacted Capitec regarding an account that is still showing on my transunion record as an account owing. I have logged two complaints sofar as this debt is prescribed. I have read The Prescriptions Act 68 of 1969 and am well aware of the sections and the prescriptions periods. I wish to state that this debt has prescribed as i have not acknowledged it in the last three years and have stated so in previous posts to capitec. Please close this account as the debt prescribed 3 years after my last contact with anyone connected to it and i wish to state that i did not make an arrangement which could have affected my elligibility for a claim of prescription. Please close this account and furnish me with proof accordingly. I stand by my claim and facts and won't change my position on this!!!
