My mum sold both of her houses and bought one. The 2 she sold were bought by 2 people who each had to finance their respective purchases. Within 6 weeks their homes were transferred to their names. My mum paid cash for her home and 3 months later, her home has still not been transferred. My opinion - these guys are sitting with R625000 in their bank account and delaying the transfer as long as possible so that they can collect the interest whilst my mum pays occupational rent.
Before the 2 houses were sold, my mum made sure the rates were paid up to date... they deducted over R3700 for rates and when we ask for the rates clearance certificates, we get the run around.
The estate agent who sold the house to my mum gave these guys the deal because they agreed to a 30 percent discount because they were handling all 3 deals. Where's that discount now... nobody knows.
Stay far away from these guys. They are bad news.
