I have been contacted by Anthony Richards regarding outstanding debt. After numerous requests for further information regarding this debt i.e. Date when debt was handed over, full statement of account stating last 3 years payments, reflecting all legal fees and interest charges which is your right in therms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, they have ignored all requests from me, but instead have called to demand money from me and if I do not pay, they will register me as "not wanting to pay".

If a debt has Prescribed, you as the consumer need to tell the debt collector in writing that the debt has prescribed, that if they cannot proof otherwise, the file needs to be closed with immediate effect. Get a Letter of Confirmation from the agency that the file has been closed for your records.
