Not willing to provide statement

I have been paying my credit card for about a year now and would like a statement displaying what I have left to pay like a normal person would. I have called the call centre numerous times to request this and to my surprise, I was told this is such an involved process, it takes time for them to pull a statement. What kind of organization does not keep track or have a real-time billing systems to know what is paid and what is outstanding.

This is not good service. I need a statement!
