Sorting out previous owners debt

I recently acquired a house in which the above attorneys were handling the sale on behalf of the owner. i signed an addendum clearly stating that I will only start paying pills once I move in and the is an email where the responsible person assured me that would be the case.

i got a billed from the month I was not even living in the house and refused to pay because I have proof that I was told it is all taken care of. that was last year already, today i got my monthly statement and the same amount still reflects on my statement. when i call i leave messages and never get a call back from the responsible person. I dont now what to do anymore because its accumulating interest in my name
