I signed up with Hotel express last year. Towards the expiry of my membership, Hotel express Midrand called me and encouraged me to renew my membership. I informed the consultant that I am not ready financially and told him I will be in abetter position at the end of November and that he can contact me then. At the end of November, i was signed up without my knowledge. I noticed this when i received the membership card in March. I then called them and asked them to cancel since they went into my bank account without my permission. They blatantly refused, contending that their policy does not allow them to cancel three months after signing up. I feel their policy encourage their employees to commit and deduct money from people's personal accounts without their consent.
