I suffer from a chronic condition and have for the last around 8 year been collection my medication at a retail pharmacy of my choice. Today I got a call from my Discovery Health appointed case manager to inform me that from 1 June 2013 all chronic condition medication which is not obtained through the medicine courier service will incur a 20% levy.
If I had a reliable trustworthy place to have my medicine delivered to I would have enroll to this service. But now I am bullied yet again into something. A few months ago I had to change medication because the generic medication I was using was also going to incur a levy. I find this extremely arrogant.
I guess a company that big has forgotten it is a service provider... I think any benefit provided to customers are pure coincidence and not intended, it is all about revenue and shareholders.
I wonder just how much revenue is generated or was promised to be generated by this medicine courier service when Discovery promised it will force all chronic member to use it.
Really bad form Discovery and to think I defended you for more than 10 years!
