Fedhealth Medical Scheme
Why is my PMB not being paid for in full?

I was contacted by Fedhealths Chronic Medicine Management Department to say that all my medication except one have been accepted as prescribed minimum benefits. I went to the pharmacy to fill my script with the exclusion of the medication that is not covered, only to be told that I have a R110.00 odd levy on one of the PMB medications. I asked the pharmacist how much this medication cost and it was R265.00. In other words Fedhealth was only willing to pay about R155.00 for my medication. And this after I was told that all my medication would be paid without levies. The other medication I got I had a R14.00 levy - not much, but not what I was told. It is the principal. I now have not got two of my prescribed medicines as the one isn't covered and the other is attracting a levy which the Chronic Medicine Management Dept said is 40%. Please sort this out someone! There are also other issues regarding claims that have been submitted and no response received to say whether they will be paid or not. I used to get fantastic service from Fedhealth and had no reason to complain-I even told all my friends etc to change to Fedhealth-now I say stay away... I will never recommend Fedhealth!
