My husband was diagnosed in 2008 with cancer and i have had problems with discovery paying his medical bills out of the correct benefits almost from day one.
My husband recently went to his oncologist for his annual check up and guess what? once again my mba was used to pay for the blood tests requested by the oncologist. i am still waiting to see what they use to pay the CT scan and the doctor.
when my husband moved oncologists a couple of years ago i was told that the new doctor needs to complete a oncology form and then all future bills will be paid correctly.
dealing with cancer is not fun for anyone - patient or family - however it seems as if discovery takes joy out of messing up the billing 8 out of 10 times. seriously!!! you would at least expect some level of empathy from your medical aid - guess i was wrong.
Please make sure that the oncology bills already paid from my MSA is reversed and paid correctly. Please also make sure that all future bills are paid correctly out of our oncology benefit and not out of my MSA
