I am a 64 year old male who has been diagnosed with cancer in October last year. I received two cycles of chemotherapy treatments last year. This year I have to receive my last two cycles of chemotherapy in order to live. Now Discovery Health lets me know that they will not fund this - AND I'M SUPPOSED TO HAVE A R400 000 ONCOLOGY PLAN! Now they let me know that they will review the situation but that it doesn't mean that they will fund the chemotherapy. How in the world does that work? It is unacceptable! I pay for one of the highest plans on Discovery for these benefits, and now that I need it, they don't want to pay out the funds! That means they really don't care if you die of cancer, even if you paid for the benefits! This ought to go to the press so that other potential clients should rather stay away from Discovery.
