On 28/01/2013 at 10PM my wife was admitted to the brenthurst Clinic with a severe headace. The following morning the Med Aid refused to give authorisation elaiming that6 this was a pre-existing condition. My wife was treated for a tention headace during August 2011!! Thuis wqas a year before we joind Spectramed. I fail to see how a headace can qualify as a pre existing condition. We obtained a letter from the doctor who admitted my wife (prof Modi- neurosergeon) stating that this was NOT a pre existing condition. Spectramed then proceeded to question the validity of the dates we supplied regarding membership of our previous medical aid saying we on the application form. I requested a copy of said application for. On the form one can clearly see thart the dates was altred by someone. I assume this was done by the broker that sold Spectramed to my wife (Odette Povey-she no longer works for Spectramed). I was told by Mr Nundkisun that he will present this case to his board of trustees to decide. As you can see from the above that Spectramed is in the wrong. Meanwile I am suspended foom the med aid and we have recieved no feedback from spectramed. I need closuse!!!
