My benefits were suspended on the 1 March due to a bounced debit order. I paid the outstanding amount on the 7th and sent both fax and email confirmation. I received an email several hours later stating that neither confirmation had been received at which point I phoned directly, explained what I had done and had my cover re-instated.
This morning I awoke to an email saying my cover had been suspended again, again due to non-payment. I checked my bank statement and both the payment and charges for sending the confirmations appear. I have sent a screenshot to Fedhealth and tried calling, but they are unavailable during weekends.
Tomorrow I ride the Argus, most likely without medical aid due to a clerical error by an inept service provider. I've been a member for several years and have yet to receive my membership card even, despite requesting it several times, confirming addresses, et cetera.
If this isn't resolved today, I will be shopping for a new medical aid on Monday. At least I'll be spared the admin of trying to cancel with Fedhealth.
