I just joined Fedhealth Medical Scheme on the 1 December 2013 after 3 years of not being a member with them. All went well for the first two weeks when I received an sms that my benefits have been suspended due to an amount outstanding on my previous membership that was cancelled in 2010. I have called them twice and have had no feedback regarding this issue. I am apalled by their uncompromising attitudes towards consumers. I informed them that if I need to then I can pay an additonal amount of R300.00 per month over and above my premium. I went through a very bad financial patch and have recovered since being sequestrated in 2012. They are not willing to asssist or accept any payment arrangement even after the debt was supposed to be written off. I used to swear by Fedhealth and the excellent service they provided, but clearly I was highly mistaken.
