Fedhealth Medical Scheme
FEDHEALTH IN TV AD

I saw a FEdhealth Ad on TV which encouraged me to taake a Fedhealth Medical Aid for my mum and I.
In total i pay close to R3000 per month for just our medical aid. When I fell pregnant last year May I called Fedhealth to upgrade (as the TV and radio ads had said) I told them I had a "life changing event" a pregnancy and I need to upgrade my policy to cover me (gynae, any hospital etc) they said I could not. Point blank refused. So I had to live with the fact that I needed to save money to cover my monthly gynae bills. My Gynae was also not covered and there was a surcharge for the hospital. However, Fedhealth did tell me that my Gynae will be paid Fedhealth rates, so will the anasthesiologist and they will cover my baby until he is 30 days old, I can then decide if I need to ad him onto my medical aid or not. I have since forked out an insane amount of money to cover the Gynae, ANasthesiologist, Ampath and Lancet, the Paedaetrician etc, all of which was done IN hospital and SHOULD have been covered. Fedhealth has to gain customers, had they kept to their word as per TV ads and allowed the upgrade, all of this would have been covered!!!
