After reading the copious amounts of complains from unhappy members who are with Fedhealth, i have decided to have my say:
I pay a steep amount monthly and NEVER see the benefits.
I needed to have a crown put on one of the teeth and receieved a response that the plan I am on (Maxima Basis) covers up to R5700 of dentistry per year and that crowns ARE covered. I faxed through the quotation to the medical aid and asked whether the procedure will be covered in full. NO RESPONSE.
Basically, after having the procedure done, i am told that this will not be covered and I DONT have this R5700 of dentistry, it is just a guideline WHY TELL ME THIS IF IT DOES NOT AFFECT ME???
The amount will come out of my day-to-day savings (how is a dental crown considered day-to-day if it is something that lasts for 10-15 years?)
ALL I wanted was for someone to bother to take the time to phone me and explain it all to me. Instead I got a generic response that left me confused and mislead.
I phoned the call centre and asked to speak with a supervisor-was told that someone would return my call.
I waited for 2 weeks for someone to get back to me.
