Admitted for hook wire procedure. Surgical ward was full and taken into medical ward. Surgeon's rooms told me I was scheduled for 10h30. Nobody in medical ward could confirm the theatre list. Was taken to radiology just after 10h00 and given pre-med. Waited with needle in my breast til 13h00 and nobody knew when I'd be taken to theatre. Was only taken to theatre when my husband started to ask several people. Appears theatre did look for me at 10h30, but I was still at radiology. Did they then forget about me? Out of theatre and back in the ward, nurses told me I had to put a tablet under my tongue, but did not give it to me, and did not know what it was. When I asked for something for pain, they ran around and came back with a pain remedy that was connected to the drip. After 3 hours, just before discharge, I was given this pill and when searching it on internet, saw that it was S6, for pain! When the drip needed changing, they could only find a broken machine. The drip was then attached to a non-portable machine that had to be detached when I went to the toilet. When I returned, 3 people were not able to re-attach the drip and then just left it., til I was discharged.
