"Quality patient care"

Please allow me to record my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received after my Laparoscopic repair of a double Hernia, on the 27th March 2013.
A Short Summary:
The procedure was performed and it went very well. However my return to ward E and my treatment after the procedure was not professional nor was it acceptable.
I returned to the ward at about 13:30 and was only attended to at 16:00, after I blocked off the empty drip and called the nursing staff. No vital signs checked until then?
At 17:15 the doctor did his rounds and gave certain instructions i.e. the drip had to be "heplocked", this only happened at _ 21:30. At 23:00 I proceeded to make my own bed as nobody else did anything about it.

AND the response received from the Deputy Nurse Manager was: her investigation found nothing wrong and "this is within the normal range"! Surely this cannot be acceptable nor should it be tolerated!

However - Everything else from the pre-admission, theatre treatment and operation, to the discharged was excellent, pretty sad about the treatment in the ward, even though the staff was very friendly.
