After many years of headaches and having one test after the other i landed up by a orthodontist for a check up as my dentist was concerned.
Turns out my headaches, neck pain, jaw stiffness and earaches are all linked to my JAW. After sending all the information through to liberty i get a first reply stating that they only cover up till 21. I sent a reply requesting that this be taking further and i get a reply stating that this is now considered COSMETIC!!! Once again i complained and asked if the board got their degrees from the side of the road to which they responded with "Professors have agreed that this is COSMETIC" All this without even seeing me in person. I have now sent through more proof from my orthodontist proving that this does affect my overall health and now we wait again. Liberty refuses treatment for R 32000 and a jaw operation in 18 months time because they decided this was cosmetic. I pay R3900 per month for a medical aid who refuses treatment to a problem that could be solved. They wanted proof i sent proof. What more do they want??? A nutcase women who cant handle day to day tasks because she is in pain?
