Poor response and feedback from standards dept!!

I have been informed and assured by a Discovery Health representative that Discovery is a better medical aid that the one I was on for the past 8 years. I accepted the new Discovery aid with no active waiting periods to be effective 01 November 2013. Last Thursday (23 January 2013) I called Discovery to get a authorization code for a procedure in hospital. As per the consultant it would take 8 working hours. The next day I was told that there was forms that my doctor had to fill in before they can issue authorization. These forms was sent to the wrong doctor which I dont even know. The forms was then sent to my house doctor of the last 15 years that was given to them on the application forms. Again after phoning Discovery about 15 times following up on the application no joy. I have now spent over R 200.00 on phone calls to Discovery. Spoken to numerous consultants etc, and have not once received feedback from any of them. I have to go for surgery tomorrow and I have no authorization code. It has now been 32 working hours after the application. Should of stayed with my previous medical Aid!
