Authorization taking to long and poor feedback

I`m 44 years old and i`m on Discovery Classic Priority Plan. January 25 9:30 am 2014 i was in a accident while riding my off-road bike with friends. at the Vereeniging mediclinic hospital i got all the scans which had been approved by discover prior and found i have a compound fracture in my back L1.by about 12:30 pm i were admitted. Dr were assigned to me and he informed me i need surgery to repair the damage. The hospital admin came by and requested excess fare R10 000 for the operation. I made arrangement to pay 5000 now and 5000 end of February.by Tuesday he informed me that he had submitted the motivation and procedure to Discovery health and we are waiting for authorization. i have been given painkillers everyday and lying on my back as per doctors orders.By Thursday i haven't heard any news from Discovery, when the doctor came by he informed me he still don't have authorization. this is now 5 days from being admitted. the doctor ordered me a back-brace and sent me home with a box of pain killer tablets. i am in a great deal of pain all day, standing on my own without help is almost impossible and extremely pain full.
