Poor Service as a result of defective equipment

I was diagnosed with cancer in Aug 2012, and was sent for an urgent Pet scan in December 2012, with the eye on extended treatment in Nelspruit (200 km from home). The outcome was that I had to have radiation and chemotherhapy at the same time. The chemo started in December, and until today (4 March) I had only 3 radiation treatments due to machine failure after an upgrade in 2012. This treatment is postponed every week, and I have already exploited all leave and sick leave at my employer. I was then advised by SJ Fourie to carry on with the treatment in Polokwane (200 km's in an alternative direction) After my arrival there, I was told that the planning had to be re-done, and that the medical aid would have to approve the treatment again, and that I should stick to the Nelspruit arrangement. Arrangements are constantly changed for leave, accommodation, security at home, petcare and transport only to name a few. My employer allowed be a certain period of unpaid leave, and cannot keep my position for the rest of time, while I am getting treatment for an unknown period of time. The emotional stress that this cause a cancer patient is immense, and is absolutely unacceptable
