Resolution Health Medical Scheme
Insuffient information at time of authorization

On 4th Nov 2013 my son was admitted for a dental procedure. On our plan, dental procedures done in hospitals are covered. I sent an email with all the details, received a authorization form stating that only a R2, 000.00 co payment would be to the patient's account. and the anesthesiology is limited to R3500.00. of R10, 070.94 only R2380.56 of the hospital account was paid. To receive a email to say that we are liable for the balance and that 100% of the scheme rate was paid. I would have phone around and negociated for a different theatre for the procedure to be done or would not have had it done at all. Now we are sitting with a R7, 706.73 account still to be settled. I am so glad that we have gone over to Bestmed, cover is far greater and premiums are less. Communication is really not resolutions strong point when communicating all the details, I have to pay nearly 70% out of my pocket when they received a premium from a family of over R2000.00. Thanks for nothing. I have really nothing good to say and will not recommend them at all. bad service and communication.
