Still not authorization for hospital?

I have been with Bestmed now for 11 months and am currently on the PACE 1 plan with a monthly premium of R4400. I have been hospitalized at medi clinic but it came to my attention only the NEXT day that NO authorization has been provided for the incident and therefore I have stayed over at my own expense. This is totally unacceptable as I am paying my monthly premiums EVERY month on time and am now going towards being one year with Bestmed, which means R44 000 have been contributed towards membership and then you refuse to cover the ONE night emergency hospital cost?

This is NOT the type of surprises that I need when I am in desperate need of medical attention - I want this matter sorted ASAP otherwise I will have no other choice to rather make use of Discovery Health and get no surprises along the line. Your overall service has not been poor, but what concerns me is the fact that when I need to pay for emergency situations out of my pocket because the hospital send me the bill due to fact that Bestmed REFUSES to settle the account. At NO stage was I informed no authorization was provided. Please provide feedback ASAP
