LMS & dental risk company have declined to pay my dental hospital benefit. I guess advertising on the Tour de France about their superior dental benefit is not so superior after all. Titan option only pays if your wisdom teeth are impacted. I have been to dentists & specialists 6 times, only 3 of these visits are reflected on my medical aid, as I had requested the doctors not to charge me for the follow ups. The age old response we receive from medical aids is "We have to protect all the members on the scheme", which is exactly what I have done by not even claiming from the medical aid for some of the pain killers. I have complained to LMS about their decision and I get a response of the matter going from 1 committee/dental advisor to the next, which also costs the medical aid. I had emailed the principle officer of the scheme and I did not even get a response from him, a simple I will look into this would have been sufficient, what I received was yet another email from Dental Risk Company stating that a committee is looking at this failing which another dental advisor will be looking at the matter. No One from the Medical Aid has even bothered to contact the actual specialist.
