Got approval confirmation on 17th Oct 2013 and told that Inception date would be 1st Oct 2013. I then requested change of Inception date to 1st Nov 2013 and was told by consultant to write a letter and email to them, i made several enquires to make sure that everything was in order to no satisfaction After 2 payments totalling R3636, last one being 02 Jan 2014 (R1818 per month), I received a letter informing me of the termination of Med aid dated 06 Jan 2014. Tried to sort with Consultant/Medical aid with no success. I feel that this is a reap off as I was not covered under the medical aid from 1st to 17th October 2013 and they insist that their cover starts from the 1st and not any date, therefore why must I pay for something that I did not get benefit or cover for and why is it so diffficult for them to change Inception date as per my request and I followed their instructions in submitting the signed letter.
