Tried Hooters in Durbanville for the first time close to Christmas in 2013. I suggested that we try Hooters for their legendary wings and deals to friends and family visiting from JHB. We experienced bad service from the start with no menus. The waitress was very slow and responded badly to small requests like a glass of water. The table was being left with plates, empty cans and glasses throughout the visit. We enjoyed all the food and asked for the bill. Did a quick swipe with the card and decided on a lesser tip (About 7.5% of the total and not 10%) due to the service. Moments later a different waitress arrives at the table just as we were starting to leave. She requested that we promptly answer on the service, we made our grievances known to which she responded "because you gave your waitress such an extremely bad tip, I wanted to know what your problem is". We were so shocked at her rudeness that we were stunned silent, as the whole fact was self explanatory. Maybe they think they should get more automatically due to the skimpy outfits? On our way out, we realized that the manager was sitting at the table behind us and never said anything! Unfortunately we will not return soon
