COMPLAINT: Aloe Ridge (Booked bed, Breakfast and Game Drive)
- Firstly, I paid an additional R100 for a game drive and they advised me that there are too few people to go on a drive so I cannot go. The next morning I tried again and they said it is raining so they will not take me. I was therefore robbed and if I had known would have opted for the cheaper option. When I complained they told me they do not do refunds for the R100 and there is nothing they are willing to do to compensate.
- The actual accommodation was disgusting. It was so dirty I slept with my clothes on (jeans) and did not shower. I had to line the toilet seat with toilet paper afraid of catching something.
- The restaurant was closed on our day of arrival so we had to drive to Krugersdorp to find something to eat. The next day we tried to have breakfast and the food was so bad, I could not eat it. My husband did eat and he got food poisoning the next day.
I felt robbed, cheated and threatened. When I approached the owner directly prior to departing he was so aggressive towards me I became frightened. He is a very large, very tall, very aggressive man. When I tried to confront him, he started shouting at me.
